Purchasing Supplier Development – Supplier Quality Engineer SQE (m/f/d)

These are your areas of responsibility
Joint responsibility for the selection and development of new suppliers with regard to the requirements of Balluff in cooperation with the purchasing department
Ensuring the quality of purchased parts - from the concept phase to series production - with regard to agreed specifications (APQP)
Support technical reviews within critical component development projects.
Auditing of international suppliers and verification of measures preferably based on VDA 6.3
Development and implementation of best practices and technical standards for the sustainable optimization of process and product quality at suppliers
Lead problem resolution with suppliers during escalations
Develop commodity specific requirements for suppliers
We expect commitment, independence, flexibility and motivation. In addition, your profile is complemented by the following expertise:
- Successfully completed studies in the field of industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or training as a technician (m/f/d) with relevant experience
- 3-5 years of experience with development of new suppliers as well as auditing of international suppliers
- Very good technical understanding and knowledge of quality methods such as APQP, VDA6.3 and problem solving methods
- Good knowledge of common MS Office applications as well as experience with SAP
- Fluent English is a must
- Negotiation skills along with a strong presence and ability to influence others, including senior leadership
- Assertiveness in implementing Balluff requirements with suppliers
- Strong communication and project management to demonstrate project status, key actions, risks and opportunities
- Willingness to travel desired
