UV und SWIR Kameras machen das Unsichtbare sichtbar: sie erfassen Bilder im Ultraviolett- und Kurzwellen-Infrarot-Bereich, die das menschliche Auge nicht mehr wahrnehmen kann. Damit eröffnen die Kameras neue Möglichkeiten in industriellen Anwendungen. Beispielsweise die Fehlerprüfung im Halbleiterbereich oder die Erkennung unterschiedlicher transparenter Materialen in der Müllsortierung.
Ermöglicht wird dies durch UV- und SWIR-empfindliche CMOS Sensoren. Die verwendete Global Shutter Technologie gewährleistet außerdem verzerrungsfreie Bilder bei bewegten Objekten und eine hohe Bildqualität durch optimale Ausnutzung der Pixelfläche. Kombiniert mit den Vorteilen der Balluff GigE Vision Kameraserien ergeben sich daraus hochperformante Kameras.
