Honouring outstanding achievements in the Auto-ID industry: Represent-atives of AIM-D e.V. and the award-winning companies, including Balluff, celebrate the 30th anniversary of the association at the AIM Autumn Fo-rum 2024
This years AIM Autumn Forum marked the 30th anniversary of AIM-D e.V. and provided the ideal setting to honour technological excellence and innovation in the Auto-ID industry. In this festive setting, Balluff GmbH was honoured for its contributions over the past 30 years and its continuous innovative strength.
‘The award from the AIM-D e.V. is a special honour and recognition for our continuous efforts to develop innovative technologies that support our customers in their daily work and sustainably advance the Auto-ID industry. We see this as an incentive to continue to provide significant impetus for automation and digitalisation in the future,’ explained Gerhard Matzke, Product Manager at Balluff GmbH.
AIM honours strong partnership
AIM-D e.V. also emphasised the importance of companies like Balluff for the industry. ‘Balluff is a prime example of how innovation and commitment are shaping the development of the Auto-ID industry,’ emphasised Peter Altes, Managing Director of AIM-D e.V. ’Their work shows how essential technology providers are for the further development and competitiveness of the entire industry.’
30 years of AIM-D e.V.: Paving the way for standards and innovations
AIM-D e.V., with over 120 members in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, can look back on three decades of pioneering work. The association has made a significant contribution to standardisation in the Auto-ID industry and has established itself as a driving force for innovation.
AIM-D e.V. will continue to actively work on advancing the industry in the future. Future-oriented topics such as 5G, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital product passport (DPP) are just as much a focus as the adaptation of radio frequencies in the Upper Band in order to further optimise wireless communication in the auto ID industry. The AIM Autumn Forum remains a central platform for exchange and underlines the important role of cooperation and knowledge transfer in shaping the Auto-ID technologies of the future.
