A partner to the engineering profession for six decades
Neuhausen auf den Fildern – Sensor and automation specialist Balluff has been honored for 60 years of supporting membership in the VDI Württembergischer Ingenieurverein e.V. (VDI WIV). With this award, the VDI recognizes the company’s long-standing commitment to promoting engineering, supporting young technical talent and fostering exchange within the engineering community.
Engineering as part of Balluff’s DNA
Engineers have always played a central role at Balluff. They develop sensor, identification, network and software solutions for industrial automation and play a key role in shaping the company’s technological development. Today, more than 500 employees work in Balluff’s technology team worldwide.
Engineering is part of Balluff’s DNA. For decades, it has been engineers whose creativity, curiosity and technical expertise make our innovations possible. Being honored for 60 years of VDI supporting membership is therefore a special distinction for us and, at the same time, a sign of our long-standing ties to the engineering profession.

Six decades of commitment to the engineering network
Balluff’s 60 years of VDI supporting membership are closely linked to the company’s history. After the family-owned company entered the sensor technology market in 1956, laying the foundation for its current position as an international automation specialist, it joined the VDI just a few years later. For six decades, Balluff has thus been actively involved in the engineering network and supported its continued development.
With this award, the VDI underscores the long-standing partnership and the shared goal of fostering enthusiasm for technology, supporting the next generation of engineers and actively helping to shape the future of engineering.
