Firmware Update Safety over IO-Link Hub BNI0098

As part of ongoing product maintenance and optimization, the PROFIsafe stack of the Safety over IO-Link Hub has been updated to the latest version 2.6. In addition, the diagnostic functionality has been optimized to further increase plant availability and system transparency.

• Update to the latest PROFIsafe version 2.6 to ensure long-term compatibility and performance
• Extended diagnostic functions for improved status monitoring and increased plant availability

The basic functionality and interfaces remain unchanged. The update is fully backward compatible and does not require any adjustments on the part of the user. After implementing the modified firmware version 1.2.0, it must be ensured that the system integrity of the safety-related function is checked. This check must be carried out by a qualified safety expert in accordance with the applicable standards and guidelines to ensure correct functioning and integration into the overall system.

The change will take effect from calendar week 45.
