Release Notes - v1.3.0

1. Introduction

To enable easy firmware updates, the new firmware version will be available via the Balluff Update Platform. To do this, use either the Balluff Engineering Tool (BET) or the integrated WebUI of your network block.

2.1. General

  • Support for two new variants
    The standard network modules BNI XG3-302-0B5-R067 (BNI00L7) and BNI XG3-302-1B5Z067 (BNI00L8) are now supported by the product family.
    These variants receive regular updates, just like the other products in the family.

  • Persistent log storage
    Logs are now stored persistently, meaning they remain available even after a restart. Each network module can store up to 223 logs. Once this limit is reached, the oldest logs are overwritten.

2.2. WebUI

  • Release notes for the update
    When performing an update with a BUP file via the WebUI, release notes are now displayed before the update begins.

2.5. Ethernet Control Technology

  • Display shows station alias
    Network modules equipped with a display now show the configured station alias.
