RFID tags, sometimes also called data carriers, mark the object to be identified and label it with additional information that can be read, written and secured with a password. They store product, process and quality data to provide reliable information about the product life cycle.
Our modern UHF tags meet the highest industrial requirements: They withstand high temperatures, moisture, chemical substances and can still be reliably detected even in on-metal environments.
Unlike barcodes, RFID tags can also be read without an optical line of sight and are not affected by dirt. The energy required for these passive data carriers is inductively coupled via the read/write head or drawn from the electromagnetic wave emitted by the antenna.
