After many years of using a time-consuming and subjective manual assessment, a large manufacturer of controllers and drives for automatic doors and blinds sought a modern, cost-effective solution for quality testing motors for external blinds.
Using the Balluff condition monitoring sensor with IO-Link, they were able to measure the motor vibration that directly correlated to the motor's noise level, while also gaining data to be collected. The compact sensor provided vibration analysis and was simple to integrate. Set up only required the installation and configuration of an IO-Link master block and to plug in the sensor to the appropriate port.
With the Balluff condition monitoring sensor, they created an automated, data-based solution that saves valuable time and ensures that all motors are held to the same high standards.
