Our RFID readers and processors with IO-Link

RFID read/write heads with an IO-Link interface enable easy integration into existing automation systems and offer comprehensive diagnostic tools for maximum efficiency. Benefit from reduced installation costs, flexibility and robustness that works reliably even in demanding environments.

The IO-Link readers are primarily used when objects need to be identified quickly and reliably without having to process large amounts of data. For example, in conveyor technology for the identification of workpiece carriers.

Balluff offers a broad portfolio of read/write heads with an IO-Link interface. These include the SAMS readers BIS M-4Ax. The robust readers with protection class IP68 and IP69K can be used directly in harsh industrial environments and are also suitable for washdown applications thanks to hygienic materials. They enable fast and reliable data transmission with a high transmission rate of 230.4 kBaud (IO-Link COM3). They also feature numerous condition monitoring functions such as vibration and inclination detection and temperature monitoring.
