IODD handling in the S7-PCT tool
1. General info
The PCT tool is used to commission IO-Link devices with the aid of the IODD via an ET 200SP CM 4xIO-Link card, for example:
2. Import IODD
An IODD from another manufacturer can be added via the "Options" > "Import IODD" tab:
Select the IODD via "Browse" and start the installation via "Import":
After successful installation, the IODD is available in the catalog:
3. Delete IODD
To be able to delete an IODD, the hidden folders must be displayed as visible in the folder options:
The IODDs must be deleted in the following folders:

3.1. Delete IODD in the catalog file
If the IODD is not deleted from the catalog file and is to be imported again, the following error appears:
This is due to the fact that the IODD name still exists as a line in the catalog file and must be removed here:
This is how it must look at the end (without the IODD BNI0086):
Now the same IODD (BNI0086) can be imported again without errors.
4. Restore delivery status
The delivery status (only pre-installed IODDs from Siemens) can be easily restored using the following button:
Attention:
All IODDs installed in the catalog will be deleted!
