1. Introduction

To enable an easy firmware update, the new firmware version will be available via the Balluff Update Platform. Use either the Balluff Engineering Tool (BET) or the integrated WebUI of your network block.

2.3. Profinet

  • Support for safety hub BNI00JH and BNI0098
    Both safety hubs are now compatible with the network module (Advanced Line and Standard Line).

3.4. Ethernet/IP

  • Improvement of the 6-byte connection functionality
    The length of the input instance for the 6-byte connection ("Exclusive Owner - 6 Bytes IOL Data") was previously calculated incorrectly, which led to a discrepancy between the lengths defined in EDS and the firmware. This discrepancy prevented the connection from working as intended. The calculation has now been corrected so that the 6-byte connection is now fully functional and can be used together with other connections.
