The wireless master does not receive its data via cable as usual; instead, it receives sensor data wirelessly via a bridge or hub. This has decisive advantages over a wired system - including simpler planning and installation, greater flexibility in design and mobility, and no wear and tear on plugs or cables. It also makes it easier to convert existing systems
In short, the wireless IO-Link variant enables even more flexible, sustainable integration of sensors/actuators while maintaining the proven reliability and performance of wired IO-Link.
