USB Code Reader Delivers Plug & Play Optical Identification

Balluff’s latest offering allows you to read all standard 1D and 2D codes without the need for additional adapters or wiring.

The new IDENT Sensor with USB provides plug-and-play connection and 1-click configuration for easy, errorless setup while also delivering high-speed scanning.

Intuitive features, like its green aiming LED and light and sound feedback, make it simple to position the product and get immediate response to successful scans. An auto trigger feature starts scanning immediately when it detects a change in brightness that occurs when a bar code label is placed in front of it. It also has built-in motion tolerance and can, for example, read a UPC code when it is moving at 2 meters per second. These settings can be turned off and on by scanning QR codes in the manual.

The small, fixed position code reader, with a reading distance of 50…300 mm is ideal for manual track and trace applications. And because it can read more than 40 different barcode and 2D code types, there is no issue reading codes from various industries.

An IP65 rating makes it a solid choice for use in industrial environments, while metal mounting threads on the side and bottom provide reliable, secure fixturing.
