The incremental linear and rotary encoders from Balluff are designed for almost any measuring length and enable precise incremental linear displacement and position measurement in a wide range of industrial applications. They provide reliable position and speed information and are particularly suitable for dynamic motion control tasks.
Incremental rotary angle measurement can also be implemented for special applications. This is achieved exclusively using a magnetically encoded magnetic tape designed for larger radii. As a result, the system is ideally suited for large‑diameter rotary applications that require precise incremental rotary position measurement. Traditional incremental angle sensors for small shaft diameters are not part of this portfolio.
