Ultrasonic sensors for short-stroke hydraulic cylinders

Ultrasonic sensors

Available in:

1 Series

With the ultrasonic position sensor with media contact for hydraulic short stroke cylinders, you can monitor clamping processes of a workpiece directly, continuously and quickly.

By emitting ultrasound into the hydraulic fluid, the sensor generates reliable information about the clamping status and lets you detect deviations early on, for example. By monitoring the entire clamping process, you can also detect pressure fluctuations in the hydraulic unit, defects in the swivel mechanism and defective seals in ample time to take action.

Thanks to its small form factor, standardized interfaces that can be configured as required, and continuous automated compensation, the sensor is easy and flexible to integrate.

Relevant additional information is also provided in IO-Link operation.

Features

  • Direct monitoring and continuous position measurement of hydraulic short stroke cylinders
  • Space-saving integration due to small size
  • Condition monitoring thanks to IO-Link: Reliable information on voltage status, pressure fluctuations, signal quality, device temperature
  • Plug & Play: full flexibility and universal integration through the multifunctional interface
