Production logistics with IO-Link - Point detection of individual moving objects up to 50 cm range

In the transition areas between production and logistics, products and components must be transported to the correct destination. In these conveyor technology and process control solutions, objects are to be detected in an area of approximately 50 cm. This is also a typical working range for format part detection. And this is sometimes done in confined spaces.

The UHF Short Range Reader with IO-Link interface is suitable for these conditions. The read/write head combines the compact M30 size of high-frequency RFID products with the possibility of using low-cost UHF data carriers. Due to the IO-Link interface, the product convinces by smooth integration. The BNI master module acts as the evaluation unit. The reader is optimized for close range and detects very reliably at short reading distances of typically 50 cm. It is convincing wherever fast identification of individual or multiple data carriers is required. And it ensures data transparency in many automation processes.
